About Rice Law
Rice Law guides North Carolina families through the hardest moments in family law — protecting your children, your assets, and your future with strategy, precision, and honest counsel. We meet you where you are, give you the straight answer even when it’s hard, and treat the whole person, not just the file. We pursue settlement through mediation and negotiation, and we prepare every case for trial from the start — that readiness is what moves cases and protects your outcome.
We handle matters in every county in North Carolina, with deep, on-the-ground experience across the southeast — New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Sampson, Bladen, Duplin, Harnett, Moore, and beyond.
How We Work With You
You choose how much of the work is ours. We offer full-service representation, and limited-scope help when that’s the better fit.
Full-service representation. Your attorney handles every role your case needs — evaluating your situation, giving you clear advice, coaching you, negotiating, drafting documents, researching the law, briefing the issues, conducting discovery, and representing you in court, at mediation, and in depositions.
Limited-scope (“unbundled”) help. When a matter is straightforward, you may not need full representation. We can take on specific pieces — drafting or reviewing a document, preparing you for a hearing — while you handle the rest, which keeps your costs down. We’ll tell you honestly when this fits your situation and when it doesn’t.
